~ 24 weeks ~
I can't believe how fast the time is flying and that we're already 6 months along! And of course, I feel like I'm growing bigger each day! Pics to be posted later on today...We made some big decisions over the past couple of weeks, so I'm relieved to get them out of the way.
First, we chose our daycare - The Cedarhouse School. We are both really excited about this facility and are 100% confidant that baby boy Debo will be in good hands while we're at work. Feel free to check out their website at www.cedarhouseschool.com. We know quite a few people who have their kids there and are loving it, so we're very excited. Although I can't say I'll actually be excited to leave him there everyday...
Next, we completed our baby registry yesterday. YAY! And thankfully, my wonderful sister, Jennifer came along to share her expertise so that we didn't get too lost/overwhelmed. We owe her a BIG thank you for doing that with us as it isn't exactly the most exciting activity (and she's already done it 3 times). For those that are interested, we are registered at BabiesRUs.
Lastly, we finally chose our nursery decor and bedding. And, much to Ryan's dismay, we will not have a sports theme...I wanted something that was boyish, but not overly "themed", which proved to be a challenge. I also decided that I didn't want blue wall color, but something not so cliche for a boy. And since we won't be using the bumper or blanket, we needed a fun sheet and crib skirt option. Soooooo after weeks of searching, we are ordering the Mod Turtle bedding set from Kidsline http://www.kidslineinc.com/products/infant/mod_turtle.php . Again, we'll be keeping the turtle accents to a minimum (if used at all). We are going to be using the front guest bedroom for the nursery, which is already a light tan color. We'll be installing a white chair rail (with Daddy's help) then painting the bottom half of the wall chocolate brown and leaving the top half tan. I'm very excited and can't wait to start decorating! We are currently accepting applications for volunteers :-)
Hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend and the gorgeous fall weather!
